From Suitcase to Consecration: A History of St. Elizabeth Greek Orthodox Church
We are currently assembling a Church History Book to celebrate the consecration of St. Elizabeth Greek Orthodox Church, as well as the church's 25th anniversary. If you have any mementos, documents or records from any part of our church's history and would like to contribute to the project, please contact Adrienne Thieke by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or speak to her at church. We will accept physical documents, scanned photographs or any other format that fits your convenience.
We would also like to encourage parishioners to sponsor one or more of two types of pages for the book:
Family Pages - send us a page design with photos and/or messages to dedicate to you and your family. $100 sponsors a full page, while $50 sponsors a half-page. We would love for everyone in our parish to be represented in this section, so we encourage you to partner with other parishioners to sponsor a page or half-page if the cost is a burden.
Those Who Have Passed - this section is devoted to parishioners of our church who have fallen asleep in the Lord. We ask that family members and friends contribute pictures and memories to sponsor pages specially devoted to each of our departed members. While these pages will not need monetary sponsorships, we do ask that everybody take the time and effort to assemble these pages, so that as many of our departed parishioners as possible are remembered in this book.
Other sections of the book that we would appreciate photo and memento contributions for:
Timeline of our church's history
Photos of Church interior before and after Consecration
Events (Gala, Greek Dance, Greek Festival etc.)
